You told me not to be afraid,
That you would always be there,
You told me not to cry,
"Everything's gonna be alright"
You stood so tall,
Did you forget?
Death will take us all,
My throat will turn from smooth to stone,
I can't even talk anymore,
You inhaled, exhaled,
That smoke won't do you no good,
You didn't care, you didn't mind,
I do, when I don't have you.

The author's comments:
I wrote this when I was really upset about my Grandma dying. I never really got to meet her so some times I miss the times we didn't get to spend together.
