Ceaseless are we

Ceaseless are we,
Walking towards lights,
Running from shadows,
Endlessly awake during hard nights.
Ceaseless are we,
Retracing old steps,
That led to a catastrophe,
Walking travesties are we.
Ceaseless are we,
Sitting by a hospital bed,
Waiting for a pulse to sustain,
Sitting on a bench in the rain,
Waiting for our tears to stop being shed.
Ceaseless are we,
Stretching our limbs,
Transgressing every boundary,
Exploring all to its brim,
Taming the unknown,
Infinite are we.
