The one I love
Is far away
In the shadows
by many days

The one I love
has a glorious smile,
a loving way,
and he's the true one for me

The one I love
he is the angle
sent to watch me
When from trouble he's there
Then gone

The one I love
is someone else's
though we talk
I wish he was mine

The one I love
he's now mine
how i prayed
this would happen

The one I love
now is my love
he tells me if he goes
before me he waits for me.
