Black ominous clouds drift amongst wind and driving rain;
A flash of lightning foreshadows the rumble of the thunder as the heated air rapidly expands.
I feel the pressure of the humidity as my nostrils fill with the damp, heavy air.
Slippery raindrops chill my skin as they drip down the tip of my nose.

The murmur of the wind and the pitter-patter of the rain
Are merely background music to the approaching marching band.
As raindrops staccato off the sullen soaked pavement,
The clouds dance across the sky to the rhythm of the pulsing wind.
The director cues the spotlights, highlighting the main act.
The following roll of the timpani emphasizes the power of the performance.

The motivation of the wind moves me
While the lighting gives me sight
And the vibration of the thunder reverberates inside me.
My senses allow me to appreciate the composition of the storm on a superficial level,
But the mastery of the artist is beyond my comprehension.
