Storms Over Louisville
It sprinkles in the River City
Actions calmed by the weather
Automobiles pass by timidly
As if just to follow behind the gloomy clouds
They are searching…
Kids, toddlers, begging to come out and play
People are standing around me at this bus stop
The smell of cheap, Black&Mild Cigars turn my stomach
They are smoking…
As it begins to poor buckets from the sky,
They crowd
Under this canopy, and over this bench
They crawl
Its storming and they want protection
Here in Louisville the crowds of people are crawling through the storms of smoke searching for protection.
