Sisterhood is like an ocean
We have our ups and downs
We argue, but in the end
We are still connected like the different oceans
And end up becoming best friends again.
As time passes by and people
Who were once close to me drift out
I know that I would always have you to lean on for the rest of my life.
When we feel down or upset
And we may get lost in the distance.
But I know that if we keep drifting straight
We will soon be connected again.
Like the playful waves that bask in the sun
We lay laughing as the sun kissed our skin.
Like the river flowing into the ocean
Our love for each other flows endlessly
Into each other’s hearts.

While I was writing this poem I was thinking about the good and bad times me and my sister had in the past and decided to compare it to the ocean.
