A Record of Opportunities

sometimes i look out of a pain
and see opportunity
the world keeps on spinning, a nervous wreck
the record scratches, all hands on deck
but im overboard sinking deep
hoist the sails, pull up anchor
when one closes another door opens
the depths, the throes, how they call
but ive already taken my fall
i will rise from the depths like none other
christ almighty i am an aggressor
thrash about, break the surface, and
take a stand
if only for your fellow man
i place the needle back on track
sometimes i take an opportunity
and see a world of beauty
