Olaf The Weary

There once was a Nord; Olaf the Weary
He lived in a cabin and was very cheery
Until one day; fishing by- the- lake
His pants a’ filled with a by-the-lake snake.

Olaf bent over; casting the line
When all of a sudden he let out a whine
The by-the-lake snake; took a chunk
Out of Olaf’s roomy red rump.

The carp, bass, salmon; fled, far, far away
Surely the lake fish could not stay
Olaf the Weary; created a splash
Into the lake, Olaf would crash.

The sting of the serpent; the pinch of the bite
Made Olaf the Weary’s face bright white
Olaf stumbled; losing his grip
Led Olaf the Weary to slip and flip.

In the distance; Olaf’s brother heard
Olaf screaming a very nasty word
Olaf’s brother; Arthur the Feeble
Ran to save Olaf, leaving the church steeple.

Arthur saw a body; floating along the lake
Olaf’s life was surely at stake!
Arthur the Feeble; got a grip
But his hands would eventually slip.

Arthur the Feeble; would suggest
The massive waterfall would do the rest
Olaf’s body; plopped into the lake
Olaf was saved, other than a backache.

Arthur fished out the body; from the cold lake of blue
Olaf awoke, very weary, his brain a’ stew
The snake slithered; through the grass he went away
If it weren’t for that serpent, Olaf thought, this day would not have been so grey.
