Autumn
Autumn,
The period of change,
Leaves change from green,
to red,
to orange,
prior to their collapse.

This commences on September the twenty-third,
and every so often the twenty-fourth,
yet it always has bears the same effect.

Shorts convert to pants,
the sleeves of T-shirts extend,
Trees become exposed,
Leaves strike the dirt.

Humans despise this season,
because it ends summer,
because with it comes the bitter cold,
and the leaves that blanket the yellowing grass.

No matter what they think,
leaves still fall,
the sun still disappears behind the horizon,
trees still shed,
clothes still change.
No one can stop Mother Nature’s design.
