It's Nothing
Wiping the tears from my face, I put in a few eye drops to clear them.
I blow my nose and put on the biggest smile I can muster
When you see me I’m smiling
When you hear me I’m laughing
When you talk to me all seems right
But when I’m alone
I cry a river
When no one can hear me
I talk about how worthless I feel
My past haunts me every night, I can’t sleep
But I tell you that everything is right as rain
I don’t want people to feel like they have to listen
If they asked what’s wrong I say nothing
I deny that my life is anything but perfect
Because if I lie to others I lie to myself
And in time I might believe it myself
