Highschool Heat
As I walk down the halls, Beady eyes dart toward me from every direction.
This feeling is familiar-
from freshman year.
Is there something on my shirt?
What are they looking at?
As us girls fight fire with fire,
Drama boils and heats the halls.
Backstabbers,
Dirty looks,
Secret schemes.
Why do we do this?
Perhaps, all the stress;
As we cram our brains with:
Schoolwork,
Homework,
Definitions,
Formulas,
the list goes on.
Perhaps that's what causes the looks,
the drama,
the stress.
Just choose wisely-the time you spend,
Because it'll go by like a quick gust of wind.
