Trapped.

Engulfed in darkness;
a single stream of light
beaming from the moon.
A sliver of hope.
Eyes darting in panic,
surveying the room furiously.
Where am I?
The harsh reality of the question inducing a cringe,
adrenaline pumping through my veins.
Who took me?
A face appears;
a man stepping out from the shadows.
Lights flicker on,
ripping away the cover of darkness.
My breath hitches,
air constricting in my lungs.
What now?
