The Fish
He is a silvery minnow,
Slim, darting,
Mouthing at the air,
Zipping around, hiding behind
This piece of seaweed,
That sunken castle.
He impregnates the fish he can catch,
And they birth live fishies, because
He’s a guppy now,
Apparently.
I hope he doesn’t eat all his babies, verily
For that would not be good for him
Evolutionarily.
