She was raised in the darkness, the darkness she would stay.
She hoped to live to see a livelier, brighter, happy day.
There was a hole in the wall, ever since she was seven.
It was her gateway to freedom, her gateway to the heavens.

The hole was punched in the closet of her room...
Where she lived in her misery, indulged in her gloom.
Her father scared her half to death.
A hole in the wall was all that was left.

She reflected on that little hole in the wood.
It showed who she was more than anyone else could.
It showed how she was horribly isolated and confined.
It showed who she was, her personality it defined.

She is just a girl, that is just a hole.
It showed that she could finally gain her self control.
She thought everyone hated her, as if there was no love.
She was that hole in society, she was never enough.

It showed how she was by herself every day.
It showed how she was hollow in numerous ways.
It showed how she was depressed, how her heart continued to melt.
No one would ever understand exactly how she felt.

She felt as if there was just an empty space.
Sorrow and sadness daily is what she faced.
So when she felt as though the hole in her heart would make her fall...
She sat in her closet and looked at the hole in her wall...
