The whistle blows and I’m out of my daze
I wait for the other team to hike the ball
My whole body is tense and read to move
“Down!”
“Set… Hike!!!”
Tracking the ball like a hawk
I’m off like lightening
Weaving in and out of people trying to protect their backfield
Make one last cut to dodge a lineman and I’m free
I’ve got nothing but one job
Hit the quarterback
“Crack!!”
