Drive
I led a lonely life
The summer breeze
Against my clean body
Was my only friend
I always dreamt of a river
Every night was the same
Making my daily routine
Even more monotonous
Then I broke free
Spit in the face of authority
I had no reason, no worry
Just a deep, burning passion for the road
I made it to the Mississippi
Finally realizing how thirsty I had been
Found myself in your arms
My bones refreshed and chilled
I still suffer to this day
I was thirsty my whole life
And once I dipped my toes in the water,
I drowned
