Change

Swallowed by darkening shadows a heart as mine does nothing it cannot be punished for. Deep breaths cool and sooth a lost mind and a crippled heart. While seasons pass and the trees are born and die again, a heart does the same. Thumping, blood trails the brittle veins from shattered glass. Yank out the pieces and fill the wounds with sugar. Sweetened love flows through the blackest of hearts as the thumping becomes stronger. A heart that hums is a heart that succeeds. Ask ones self not to change. But ask change to consume yourself. The transformation must come in, soak in, and be locked in. A heart with stale red bricks holds the door way to a heart of refusal. A heart which wont accept a cleanse.
