Do you ever get that sinking feeling in your stomach?
Like, no matter what, it seems like what they say about you is true…
That they know you better than you know yourself…
That it couldn’t possibly get any worse but then it does…
What are you supposed to do?
Sit around and mope?
Fight back?
But, we all know it’s not that easy, huh?
They say you should tell an adult,
But does that fix the problem?
No.
You should stand up for yourself,
And be able to say that that person is wrong.
Or, if you don’t want to be like them,
You will always know,
That they are out of line and don’t deserve you,
Your pain…
Your anger…
Your time…
They are the ones who have done wrong,
Not you.
They don’t deserve the way people look up to them like a hero.
There is no such thing as a victim in my mind, because you can always fight back.
But there are people, who are carelessly cruel,
And toss words around like it doesn’t matter if their killing you inside…
They are the Bully and you are their toy in a game that nobody will ever win.
