Destructive tendencies
Wandering near my home

 I notice

 near the freshly painted

 fence posts

 a small survivor

 of man's tyranny

 small insignificant flower

 no harm done to us

 painted over

 even if by accident

 unnecessary destruction

 Why so many changes

 we poison the land

 turn it black and sick

 all for what?

 Money?

Only when the last tree has been

 chopped down,

 final stream paved over,

 will man realize that

 you can't eat money

 Nature will go on

 but, what of us?

Will we adapt to life without nature?

 Or will we be killed

 smitten by our vanity
