My Glasses
Slowly, I open my eyes
Everything is a blur
The blurry outline of my hands, my arms, my legs
The blurry outline of my slippers, the rug, the door
The blurry outline of the soap, the faucet, the towel
Then I close my eyes again as I put then on.
Slowly, I opened my eyes
Everything is so clear
The crisp outlines of my nails, my fingers, the wrinkly lines on my palm
The crisp details of the fuzz on my slippers, the pearl stitches on my rug, the beautiful line patterns on my mahogany door
The crisp textures of the dips in the soap, the swirls on the faucet, the fluffiness of the towel
Everything is so clear
