I want to be young and wild and reckless and free
heedless of the implications my actions hold.
I want to be the antihero, the hope of the disenchanted,
the sin that defines virtue.
I want to be a vision of marred purity,
that much more stunning for the scars and tarnish.
I want to dive into the depths of hedonism and resurface
ringed by glory;
Then any goodness I may succeed in creating
will mean so much more.
I want to be the newborn,
the sage,
in this darkest golden age.
