"You're beautiful," you said
but you spelled beautiful wrong
and I felt the need
to point it out.
"You're special," you said
but it had only been a day
so I thought that was silly
and I told you so
"Come over," you said
but I was scared
so I lied
and we didn't hang out.
"Do you still like me?" I said
but you didn't answer
just stared at the ground
"Do you hate me?" I said
but you just looked
and didn't open your mouth
