I have a confession that I must make,
It is time for me to go,
For secretly I am an alien,
From a Planet you would not know.

Do not be in alarm, my friend,
I’m not here at Earth to bring you pain,
I’m only here to save my planet,
For we have run out of grain.

I am disguised as a human teenager,
Boy, has this been fun,
But if I do not bring them back enough food,
My planet will surely be done.

I know the food I bring them back
Will bring them so much cheer,
But I also cannot wait to bring back,
The crazy stories of things you Earthlings do here!

My alien cousins will never believe
That keyboard you guys use to type,
And we will laugh over how you humans,
Buy items by using plastic to swipe!

It’s funny how the people here,
Like to always pretend,
Pretend to be happy when they’re not,
Or pretend to be somebody’s friend.

It’s funny how the strangers here,
Never think they have enough,
And constantly they buy themselves,
More and more worthless stuff.

And the rich still want to be richer,
While the poor are remaining poor.
And while there are plenty of believers,
There are liars behind every door.

But please don’t get the wrong idea,
Because there’s something about this land,
While you’re world is filled with storms and earthquakes,
There are also rainbows and sand.

There are people who care, and people who dare
To do the unspeakable things.
There are friends who share laughs, artists who make crafts,
Humans who kneel down holding rings.

And the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,
I think you humans call it love.
Yes this is the one thing that your Earth,
Will never get tired of.

There are many things that you do in your world,
That do not make very much sense.
Why work is considered so important,
Why people are always so tense.

But I urge you Earthlings to always remember,
Who or what matters the most.
And I extend my greatest gratituity,
For being such a wonderful host.

For tomorrow I return to my planet,
With sadness and excitement I leave,
My hungry planet will be thrilled
To receive what they receive.

So now I give you a piece of advice,
Hold on to your love and your friends,
Remember that in the planet you call Earth,
Happiness is waiting at every end.
