In volleyball
When you serve
You have to swing all the way through the serve
For it to go anywhere
All or Nothing
But at the beginning of each season
I hold back
Afraid
I don't want to miss
Or hit the net
Resulting in sympathetic pats on the back
And a sigh from my coach
Every year
It never really occurs to me
Until about two weeks in
I realize to swing through my serve
It's kind of the same with people
Don't hold back
Because the only thing you'll be thinking about
At the end
Is how many serves you would've made
If you didn't hold back
Take the chance
All or Nothing
