Erasers and Nails
Life is a pen,
it keeps on writing.
But, when we do bad things,
we are hitting a nail into a cable post;
and the pen records that.
But, something I would like is
an eraser for that pen;
something that can take it all back.
Those hours, wasted doing nothing,
or all the things I may have said to you.
All the lies
that haven’t been erased.
Oh how I would spend hours erasing.
But even though the nails are out of the cable post,
the scars are still there,
un-erasable.
