Music and I
The rhythm flows through me,
Like the wind blows through
The open windows of a house.
It calms my nerves and reminds me
I am just human.
How is it that I can find
A song for every mood I’m in?
The music conforms to my body
And we become one.
Gently it rocks me into a peaceful
State of mind.
The lyrics flow to my soul
As though they know the path by heart.
Along the way, they light up each cell,
Each vein,
Each nerve,
Until my entire body is
Humming along with the music.
I can feel it rushing through me.
Isn’t it amazing that after thousands
Of years, people can still make new music?
Never before heard.
Waiting to explore souls.
