As the Indians travel through the desert
All animals are alert
While Coyotes howl
Cougars are on the prowl
The deer are struck with fear
Elk let loose their inner steer
Although the Indians are not here to hunt
They favor to hear the evening grunts
They pass quietly through the land
Like a peaceful man
When they see their tents in the distance
They spot their wives assistance
Closing in on their village
Their journey they acknowledge

The author's comments:
We like to learn, read, and write about indians and their history. So we thought we would write a poem shortly explaining their lives and how things were for them in the desert. We hope people will enjoy the idea behind it and will get a brief idea of what the point of this poem was.
