A Court in the Woods
Deep, deep, deep in the trees, there’s a place that’s just for me
With chained rims and concrete floors this court is much, much more
It’s my home in the trees where I truly feel like me
On hot and sunny days this is my haven from the suns rays
With trees a plenty and shade so cool if I didn’t come up here I would be a fool
I run up and down this concrete court and won’t stop until my problems are in recourse
Most wouldn’t understand why a basketball court is the apple of my eye
But until they play here and live in my shoes nobody will understand my shady place
Deep, deep, deep in the trees where there is certainly a place just for me
With concrete rims and concrete floors this court is much, much more
When problems arise I head straight for the place that is the apple of my eye
This court is my home and is forever in my heart even though nobody understands its art
