When I hear the beat
It relieves the heat,
Makes me calm,
I’m ready to move on.
Nothing better
Than a song for bad weather
Clearing cold wind and snow,
It lets me know
There’s no reason to frown
When I’m feeling down.

Listening to the melody
Know that I
Can be somebody,
I can be anybody.
Try and forget the past
Leave mistakes behind
I can’t run forever
But I still go
Just as fast as I can.

Go down, down, down, down
Then from the bottom of the pit
Straight to the top.
I won’t let my dreams die.
After life lessons learned
And lovely losses
I regain my strength
And own the day.
