Rowdy Rowell Residence

Walking in the door, greeted by three big dogs:
Molly, Shatzie and Louie
Touching their soft fur while petting them
Coming through the hall, seeing the sight of the living room,
Occasionally a fire will be burning in the fire place,
The smell of the fire and a candle lit to fill the house up with fragrance
Mom’s dream kitchen: granite counter tops, wooden floors, and full cabinets,
Smelling different aromas coming from the oven
Delicious meals, from breakfast to dinner
Quite often, there is a dessert set out on the table,
In the garage sits my dad’s royal blue sparkling mustang
He built from wheels up, hard work and dedication.
Walking up the stairs, entering the floor where my sisters and I live.
Three rooms completely different but all sharing one bathroom
Sleepovers every weekend, with my sister’s in my room,
All squeezing in a queen bed, laughing, watching movies, and telling each other recent news
Between the dogs playing and everyone talking about what is going on,
It is unlikely to have a quiet moment
Laughter and happiness fills my heart when I am with my family
In the home I have been raised in and grown up with my sisters
The possessions we have do not make our home-
The love we have for one another is what makes our house our home.
