Love grew wings

If love had wings do you think it would stay?
Or would it fly away?
I was in love once, he was the best thing that had ever happend to me.
But other people wanted to have a say,
We were in love but they wouldnt leave us alone
He was the straw to my berry
But then my love grew wings and did not stay.
