Half way
So we've been seeing each other for while
And I just hope this does not take you a mile,
For you to ask can we be together
Because I am tired of running under this weather.
My heart just need a shelter to love, protect, and also affect.
When I started this race,
I did not know the consequences I would face.
Now that I am up to half a mile
My heart no longer has a smile.
A smile it express when you are around,
But this time you were no longer to be found.
Now my heart has no ambition,
because it is lost without direction.
It was running to you, but I guess
you did not want this to be true.
It didn't make no sense to finish the mile
because my heart was already foul.
I just wanted to be eased because
that is the only thing that would not deceive.
Even though you was not going to stay,
At least boy you could of meet me half way.
