A Million To One
It's coming
Their coming
Running
So fast
Heart pounding
Feet moving faster
Crunch, crunch, crunch
It's a million to one
So close
I see the light
Their behind me
Chasing me
Can't reach the light
Quick left
Then right
Back to the darkness
Slip behind the tree
Running faster
Boom, boom boom
It's a million to one
No way to win
The farther I run
The more I'm covered
In darkness
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh
Still behind me
Their catching up
Can I make it?
Will I make it?
A million to one
The fights almost over
The race is almost won
Duck under a branch
Over a trunk
Look over my shoulder
Quick glance
Their closer now
A few feet behind
Have I been beaten?
Have I lost the battle?
Move faster
Swerve here
There.
Jump.
Run faster
Got to keep moving
Thud, thud, thud
My heart?
Or
Their feet?
Another quick glance
Still on my tail.
A million to one
Look forward again
And I'm surrounded
Dead stop.
Look left.
Look right.
A million to one
No where to run
Just darkness and them
It surrounds me
My soul,
My spirit,
My pain
And sorrow
All in one
They enclose me now
No where o hide.
It's a million to one
