You can't blend in with silence like you can with background noise. Instead, you fall in.
My thoughts have a tendency to silence me.
My mind is a wanderer.
To some the constant talking is comforting...

It forces you to feel.
But you have to make sure you don't get lost in it.
Because once you stop the mindless distractions....what are you left with?
Nowhere to run to.

Stop hiding behind you idea.
The silence inside loves your anxiety, and your neediness.
Maybe it makes you more honest, somehow.
Even breath doesn't exist in the realm of utter silence.
You feel weak as it envelopes you in it's nothingness.

What's the difference between silence and only hearing the snippets you filter?
They're both empty.
You end up being only half a person.
I can even see it in your eyes, hear it in your voice.
It echoes through you, narrowing you down to the barest minimum of your potential.
And you can't even say no.
Does it make you feel small?
Does it make you feel helpless?
Or just a little lonely.
And if you're not careful you'll disappear.
Maybe that's even what you want.
Your constant confusion is laughable.
You're so faded that you start imagining sounds, just to fill up the cracks in-between.

You push your voice into it, break it like you would glass.
The impact hurts, followed by the tiny cracks, spreading until all you're left with are scattered shards.

You just couldn't hold on any longer, could you?
Stop searching for some fallible truth just because you're stuck with perspective, the one thing silence cant replace.
