A Heart to be Free
Forget your name,
 Forget the time,
 Forget the place.
 Give me your heart,
 And give me your hand,
Give me your soul so I can make you understand
That behind this face and behind these eyes
Lies a heart that can't be bound
By mortal ties from sky or ground.
A heart that longs for something more.
More than a face with pretty blue eyes,
More than a touch from ever-sweet lips,
More than all these superficial lies.
My heart longs to soar unfettered,
Side by side with a kindred soul: untethered.
Should a similar heart ever I find,
Then I will be yours: heart, soul and mind.
