For Pain is a Highway
For pain is a highway…
Pain is a highway.
It could be a 2-lane highway
Or it could be a 4-lane highway.
But the meaning would always be the same.
On the right side,
We send out those cars to share
The world the pain we are feeling right now.
The car never stops for we want the world
To hear and feel our pain.
On the left side,
It’s the world’s decision whether or not
They stopped in front of us and provide us comfort
And willing to listen to the pain we feel.
Or they’ll just drive past us for they don’t care
For they have their own problems, too.
For pain is a highway,
If we got rejected, we blame ourselves
And try to commit suicide.
But never lose hope for there would always be someone
Who will stop and comfort you.
