Gone By So Fast

The greener grasses are here.
The animals live without fear
Of a human killing with a bow.
The beautiful feathers of birds show
Colors seen in a distant past
Before a world gone by so fast.
Before humans and pollution,
Before roads of mass confusion
Through a landscape so vast,
That only exists in the past.
A land of wonder
Now gone under
In world of gray
With rarely a clean bay.
A place of clean air
Not a forest cut bare,
The land before the humans walked
A land before we talked.
The land of the past
Gone by so fast

I am currently enrolled in an AP Environmental Science course so I am very involved in the information about the Earth and its condition. Everywhere I go I think of pollution. The day I wrote this I was thinking of how beautiful the world was before us humans.
