Idle Mind

If the idle mind is the devil's workshop,
Guess that makes me a factory.
I've been manufacturing for 34 months.
My mind is a mind I've come to know;
Even now it sometimes gives me a start.
Evil is abundant tonight.
As I think out the window,
This dark cell staring back at me all the while,
I could get lost if not for my mind.

I can't take credit for this piece. My father wrote it when he was in jail, and I can see the demons he was hiding behind the words.
