Big Red Book
She finally finds solace
Her pain has transformed
It’s the love of reading
She can’t take her eyes off the page
She’s completely sucked into a different world
She’s at Aspen Springs
Along with Connor, Tony, and Vanessa
She follows them along
She feels their pain
And knows their thoughts
She understands their actions
She’s a part of all three of them
Until one day
She feels her heartbreak
Along with the others
She wishes it could have been different
But that’s not how it was written
She weeps for the loss
Of a character in a book
He had become part of her
But now she must move on
To a new book
A new story
And new people to meet
She says goodbye to her friends
And tucks the book away
Underneath the bed
This journey is over
Time for a new one
She picks up a big black book
And starts her new journey with
Kristina
