Alone I sat at my kitchen table
Watching the moon make it's appearance
The only light came from the moon
Shining through my open windows

Quietly I sat to eat my dinner
Yet I didn't want any of it
So why did I go through the trouble of cooking?
Even though I was hungry my mouth didn't salivate for it
But I figured that I would eat anyway
So I cut my steak and put a piece in my mouth
In only five seconds I spit it out
The taste made me sick

Smelling of blood and tasting of rancid human flesh
My rice reminded me of maggots
The wine tasting of menstrual blood
It seemed like the world was rotting in front of me

To try to remedy this I went to the lake
Feeling like my flesh was on fire I jumped in
but my body was seized by invisible hands
Dragging me down into the depths
Maybe I did go insane after you left me
But I never thought that it would come to this
The last thing I saw were your headlights
Just before they turned into my driveway

Your voice was faint as you called my name.....too late.
