The war is over.
The final banner waved aimlessly
through the air as bodies
lay fallen all around us.
A triumphant cry escapes
from the lips of the one I thought
my friend, but I now know the deadly secret.
Ashes of laughter rest upon the cold
ground as I finally come to realize
my mistake of siding with you.
