Love Isn't Light
Is love meant to last? Or is it a repetitive temporary treatment that is only affective for a little while? And each time your heart finds a new bridge, it feels like you've got it all together again, like there's a million band-aids around your broken heart making it whole again. The higher your eyes go, the stronger your heart beats until it is almost back to normal. You can feel your toes again and your eyelashes can brush your cheeks, but something happens and your world of wildflowers and mountain streams smashes back into reality. A rude awakening to your mind telling you that love does not exist in your life, for, your body was built without such an ability. The Band-Aids that patched your heart together are ripped off, one by one, leaving the sting and the open wounds behind. But you are not the same anymore, you are the lowest you've ever been, sinking into the quicksand that you laughingly call your life. New problems arise that you thought that you had conquered some time ago. Loneliness covers your eyes and suspicion covers your mouth as anxiety pulls you down and suffocates you in dense sand. Nothing can grow about you unless it comes with spines. You are unable of sustaining life, for, you cannot even keep yourself alive much longer. The sun can no longer keep you warm, you can't move at all, but, despite the black hole in your stomach, you cannot die.
