The Promise
A night as long as a summer in Dallas
Warm, bright, and what seemed to be never ending
A night that was supposed to be magical
A feeling of enjoyment felt for one minute can’t be ripped from her
Going from a smile to a frown in a matter of moments
His presence brought a storm to her drought
She held his hand tight, but his heart even tighter
Some called her crazy, but she felt that it wasn’t a deal she can refuse
Looking into each other’s eyes with shaking hands
Only three people in the banquet area And that was good enough for them
They were making the biggest promise one can make and sealing it with ‘I Do’ and a kiss
