My Color Conflict

My outer shell chimes a faded black
Quiet and distant from most;
Shy, Timid, Scarce from society
Unable to avoid interaction with opposition.
Inside, though, my lifeline runs royal purple
Bold and beautiful to the unused eye
with flowing self-expression and opinions
and the love of the simple and the unknown.
