Dark Like The Night, Bright Like The Sun

Most days I’m a midnight blue,
filled with sorrow like the sky,
at night.
Lonely. Tired.
Other days I’m an exotic yellow,
full of happiness and energy.
On my toes. Ready for the day.
But not today,
Today I am not exotic yellow.
