In Boxes
Trapped in
 a kaleidoscope
 space.
 Press your ear
 To the hard
 metal boxes,
 where they
 keep us.
 Forever.
 Dusted with age.
 Listen.
 Careful.
 Don’t make
 a sound, or
 they will hear you.
 I’ve seen it
 happen
 before.
 Some people
 try to save
 us, but
 their jagged
 thoughts
 slice
 our
 endless
 silence.
 An interruption.
 They are
 heard.
 We have crumbled
 and hollowed
 in hard
 metal boxes.
 We have become the gone,
 the nothing.
 Just run,
 don’t let
 them catch
 you.
 Or you’re
 next.
