I walked Away

I walked away from an unjust cause,
The others were simply appalled,
I didn't stop to even pause,
They wanted me to come and my name was called.
I kept on walking,
I could keep my head held high,
They kept on talking,
I can’t believe they made that boy cry.
I knew I should do what was just,
What they did was so wrong,
After all, I did what I must,
I knew I had to stay strong.
I didn't want to have to choose,
But I’m better for it now,
Besides, they were probably drinking booze!
I walked away from an unjust cause.
