Nebraska, the Good Life
A little red barn
Tall grass
With different shades of greens
Light green, yellow green and dark green
Makes the grass look perfect
Lightly blowing in the wind
Willow trees off to the side
Hanging low, touching the ground
Wild flowers scattered everywhere
Purples, yellow, whites, pinks
Apple trees in the orchard
Their sweet fruit
Perfect on a spring day
The high-pitched songs of the birds in the distance
Perfect light blue sky
With small wispy clouds dotting the sky
But when the sun goes down
The sky turns
Bright oranges, dazzling reds, vivid pinks with little smears of purple
And for one moment everything is
Still
