A Beautiful Disaster
As cars drive by-
lights so bright -
The fawn can collide-
She looks-
blinded by the light-
and no time to react-
The blue car-
with beaming headlights hits-
The cool autumn breeze blows by -
Leaves are rustling and cars -
continue-
to pass-
The deer stares-
God watches-
the fawn suffers-
She hears other animals-
Such a beautiful peaceful forest-
yet so violent.
Blood is streaming -
out like water-
and the mother is nowhere near.
Frightened -
and worried-
the deer tries to move-
with a leg broken -
she is like a rock in the lake-
She is disoriented and hopes she can survive.
The deer attempts, but cannot push through.
The deer is dead-
finally in -
her eternal bed-
