Alex's Love poem
Meeting you makes me believe love isn’t out of reach,
I still have a chance at it,
Each time you tell me you love me,
My heart skips a beat,
Perhaps I am worthy of love,
Maybe true love is in my destiny.
I guess someone can accept me despite my flaws,
After all, I did meet you.
I realize I can love and be loved in return.
God is love, and he’s the reason why love exists,
Why you and I exist.
And he created us to love.
I guess part of my destiny is to love you,
To let go of my insecurities and doubts.
I can hold on to God, his purposes, the love he shows me,
And the blessings he gives me such as you.
Never thought I’d love someone so much,
That someone could truly want me and feel so safe around me.
I though love was out of reach,
But you proved me wrong
